It is hard to see your truck on the other side but this crossing at Walnut Canyon was way to much quicksand, muddy, and waist deep! Not safe for us..especially after sunset. So we decided to hike further east to the safer and shallow crossing. This was done mostly in the dark by moonlight and unfortunately added two more miles to the long day. I am proud of the kids for not complaining much at all
