this was an interesting geological section to go through called the Shephard Formation, the top layer of Glacier Park. It is only a small section and you don't get to see it very often in the park. Looking west as the switchbacks are tightening up now. McPartland and Heavens Peak to the left and center is Longfellow Peak.
