Three Island Crossing Overlook in Idaho, a historic site on the Oregon Trail.

The area is where thousands of pioneers made a difficult crossing of the Snake River, using three islands to help navigate the dangerous currents.
Crossing to the north side of the river provided access to better water and grass, a preferable alternative to the drier south route.
Today, the location is part of the Three Island Crossing State Park near Glenns Ferry, which features an interpretive center and walking trails.

Upper Salmon Falls Dam project located in Hagerman, Idaho. It is a hydroelectric dam project on the Snake River. A welded wire wall, 22 feet tall and 3500 square feet, was constructed here in 2019. Lower Salmon Falls Dam is just up the road a piece.
