If you haven't been out into the Supes since the rains, take my advice and GO NOW! It's beautiful out there. This hike is a great one to do right now, too. Oh, and one other piece of advice...be prepared to swim. Not because you will have to, but because you will want to! I walked by some watering holes that were so beautiful I couldn't NOT swim. Was it cold? YOU BETCHA! In my photos you will see one spot that was just perfect...somewhat concealed from the trail, yet fairly noticeable if you're looking, with a slight waterfall into water that was about 6 feet deep, crystal clear, with a view of Weaver's Needle over the waterfall. Niiiiiiiice... There are a lot of actual springs marked along this loop on the topo maps (7 just off the Dutchman and Bluff Spring parts of the loop); my original plan was to find them, but for the sake of time (since I couldn't stop playing in the water along the trail) I bypassed those this time.

Did this one clockwise. The nicest water flows were on the Terrapin (Needle Canyon)...the eastern part of the loop had water but it wasn't always as full of water and even now in places is just starting to stagnate and build up algae.

Quiet day for wildlife (human and non-human)...not much out there, although did see people on the Bluff Spring Trail 235, particularly in the first two miles away from Peralta TH. They, and their dogs, were thankfully pretty tame and not too put off by bald guys. ;)

Lots of great camping sites along this loop, more than I suspected. I actually logged 11 with GPS coordinates, if anyone is ever in need of those, PM me.

Returned to the parking lot mid-afternoon to surprisingly find a lot 2/3 full! Three of the vehicles had HAZ decals, and "someone" had left one for me to stick on...I now need to join the crowd.
