Pass Mountain is a favorite hike of mine in late winter and spring to see desert flowers. But Ms Nature generally saves her most sensational displays for the higher elevations. The best locations today were on the east side of the Pass Mountain loop just south of the highest point of the hike - the saddle. The flowers are about 4 weeks late this year due to a cool and rainy February...
