The desert was blooming although not as much as some of the pictures posted for Hunter trail. There was a steady wind which increased toward the top, but was welcome. I ran into numerous people advising not to go up with my pup. He had no problems. I carried him on a couple of the steeper cables because he climbs much faster than I and I figured he might get stuck in a precarious spot waiting for me with a 6 foot lead. Views were good from the top although it was hazy and a there was a lot of blowing dust to the west. The hike seemed short after the Mazzie hike on Sunday. No Snow and no logs to climb over |
