This was a last minute trip to find a location suitably dark enough for photographing the Milky Way. The timing was good with the monsoon taking a break and the moonless night. I didn't hike up to the hill but instead walked throughout the area looking for decent foregrounds. Got a wake-up call around 1:00am when I almost stepped on a resting Dback. He too was light painted and photographed...nothing is safe during sleep deprived photo experiments!
