After visiting the falls a couple years ago I knew a return trip was in order to find a way to the base. The drive was fairly uneventful, with the exception of several thunderous rain showers. But when I reached the parking area the skies were great and I had several hours to explore. Some nice folks car camping at the trailhead, otherwise, my company included herds of massive elk and countless flocks of turkeys.
