I have always wanted to check out this destination. No matter how much I want to go, it seems like I always end up going someplace else. On this particular weekend I was helping out on a friends antelope hunt in the area. I was literally camping within five miles of Red Mountain. This was my lucky weekend and Saturday was my hiking day. I spent the morning at Red Mountain and checked out a new location in the afternoon. This is a cool place!! I wanted to get an elevated perspective so I hiked off-trail up a ridgeline to a high saddle along the southern basin. The views were killer and I had a great time! Perfect!!
