Afternoon Snack Hike style I hit Red Mountain at 3:07. Truthfully I didn't really read the description of this one other than the distance. I had no idea what I was in store for. Down the trail I went and I could see a cool opening in the side of the Mountain ahead. Hard to explain but keep in mind this is a cinder core. The further I went in the better it got. Here is what I have to say about this: WOW, BREATHTAKING, SPECTACULAR! I just wanted to spend the whole afternoon in this sandbox. Unfortunately it would spoil my dinner so I am going to return real soon when I don't have other prior commitments.

Out at 4:06 with a planned Dinner of 5pm.
