Talked a few of my hiking friends from Tucson into heading up and try this dramatic peak. We did it from Canyon Lake, which in my opinion is the best way to go at it, since you absolutely max out on the powerful views. I knew my fears would be challenged, and I turned around just before crossing the narrow bridge to the peak. The two gals on the hike, Pam and Petra, went on to finish it, being more brave than me. Paul stayed back with me and waited for them to return from the peak. It was a perfect February day for the hike; the Superstitions were shining.
