It was, and it took me forever to reach that spot. By then I had a throbbing headache, was nauseous and totally fatigued. I took an Ibuprofen and laid down on the ground for about 20-30 minutes, while my hiking partners patiently waited. I finally started feeling better, especially knowing the remainder of the hike was downhill. By the time we reached the vehicles at the Animas River, I was feeling just fine.
