Great day for a hike with the thermometer approaching 80 degrees and the calendar still indicating January! Lynn, Hannah and "desert dog" Buster along for the trek. Started at the Pima Canyon parking lot (48th & Guadalupe) and hiked the dirt road to the National Trail junction. Branched off to the Mormon Loop and followed for 1.3 miles until it rejoins the National Trail. Took a side trip to the "tunnel" along Hidden Valley Trail so that Hannah could view for the first time. Desert is VERY green from all the January rain with plenty of flowers ready to bloom...
