FR174 to the Roger's Trough trail head had water in every wash and some muddy sections. One section up the mountain was particularly muddy. Got brave with my 2WD F-150 and hit it at a good speed and made it through!
Desert flowers were spectacular! Got stung on my hand by a bee though... This gave Mike and Bob an opportunity to show off "the wisdom of the ancients" as they just completed a wilderness survival course taught by Peter Bigfoot. I can report that a prepared prickly-pear compress works wonders to draw out the sting poison and eliminate any swelling. |
