| | 5.12a | Sport | G | | | | | This was a quick Monday trip to Isolation Canyon. Scott is here from Australia, to travel the US and to climb at the best places. I had to show them Iso! Mike was working so it was Patty, Scott, me and of course Greta. (note: Do not take dogs here) I have made a public statement that I have TR'd Vitamin M enough times clean it was time for me to lead it... So, that was the plan. I didn't realize the rope could be so hard to manage around my ankles. Every position I got in; I realized the possibility of a fall with a flip upside down, was inevitable. I didn't climb with the grace and confidence that was required to complete this climb... I screamed and fell, but I got back on and I finished it. I realized I don't lean in with my hips enough on lead. I need to move with as much confidence as TR. Then Scott said to me as I came down; "As long as you are having fun, right?" Maybe, I am trying so hard, I forget to have fun?!
Goal #1: Climb 12's Goal #2: Have a fantastic time doing it! (or any other climb) |
