| partners | | We did a SAHC hike to see one of the best waterfalls in the Tucson area. It was a big deal because one of the members was completing her 88th canyon in which is a pretty big accomplishment in the club. 30 people attended.
This is the second time Joel and I've done this hike. The first time in 2010 we traveled up canyon and today we went down canyon. Both ways are great!
We hiked up Italian Springs trail from Reddington road parking. At some point we went off trail to the fall. This ~100 foot fall is awesome when there is water in the canyon. There was some water but not as much as in 2010. From there we continued down canyon past 2 other pretty decent waterfalls. We spent about 4 miles off trail. We connected to a trail that led us back to the Italian Springs trail.
Saw three Macdougal's cactus today - my lucky day!
Weather was perfect for an all day outing! |
