| no partners | | | I've been eager to make my first trip of the winter up to the Superstitions. Deciding today was the day, I just needed a hike. After reading Fritzki's description of Aylor's Arch I was pretty fired up for this off route peak. This hike is a blast. Climbing up the gulley to top of Palomino Mountain is cool and the peak itself is crazy on top with all these spires, ledges, clearings and fantastic views. A surprisingly strong wind at the top quickly eliminated any thoughts I had of climbing out to the arch. Oh well, maybe next time. All in all, this is a fantastic hike and as always the Superstitions were great. |
