| no partners | | | In Colorado for a wedding we did this family hike. I spent a lot of time here and in the Indian Peaks as a kid. Still beautiful but given its proximity to populated areas its carefully managed these days - $9 admission to the Brainard Lake area and even with that deterrent the closest legal parking spot I could get was half-a-mile from the trailhead. A heat wave in CO, not too bad at 10000', but getting soaked in the afternnoon cloudburst felt real good to me (though not my daughters). |
