| no partners | | Yo HAZers, it's your lucky day. I didn't have the foresight to charge my camera's battery before I ventured on Mick's Supes Loop Hike. Ergo I nursed a dying battery almost from shot one until it totally succumbed. My loss (?) is your gain. You don't have to wade through that many SAMBA photos this time. Consider what I could/would have posted had I started the day will a fully charged battery. It was so spectacular I might easily have filled my 16-gig smart card. Perish the thought! Enough about cameras, though.
I know you're all waiting with bated breath to hear about the hike itself. I don't have much that's newsworthy to report about the hike up to when Mick and I reached Fremont Saddle other than the hike was truly spectacular. But at FS Mick says, "I'm tired of taking the same ol' Peralta Trail route back to the cars. Let's mix it up and return via the Cave Trail. It's a standard, well defined trail which intersects with the Bluff Springs Trail we began the hike on". "Standard, well defined trail"? Ya RIGHT!!!! Mmmmmm! I wonder if there is a history of delusional disorder in Mick's family? It was great fun once we realized we were going to live, but we didn't get to that realization point until we could actually see the BST a few hundred yards before we intersected with it. Sorry to deprive yooz guys of yet another reality TV episode of "Superstitions Search And Rescue". |
