| no partners | | After giving a morning tour and having lunch in Tusayan, I took a quick hike down too Ooh Aah Point. I considered going to Cedar Ridge but I wanted to make sure to have plenty of time for sunset at Yaki Point. I forgot how awesome the cliffs and slopes look when looking across Pipe Creek. At Ooh Aah there were a few people milling around so I scrambled up a section of sandstone and so I had my own little spot to myself. Spent about 20 minutes enjoying the view before heading up. Made good time up at a decent pace and no breaks, not bad considering I haven't done much real hiking lately. Took in a great sunset at Yaki before getting out of town. Awesome day. |
