Took Gil on I think his first Supes hike. We were treated to awesome clouds over Barkley Basin as we crested Cardiac Hill. There was a good deal of water in Barks, but never got wet (except a small dunk of my foot when I stepped in a super-saturated sand bank. Fluffy clouds and deep blues skies allowed me to summon the power of Nick Fraley circa 2008 to capture some ultrawide camera angles. Dropped by the McDowells on the way back home to grab a nice sunset shot to finish a great afternoon.

In the lower canyon between Bluff Springs Trail and Dutchmans trail, stream went underground many times, but there were pools everywhere, and lots of flowing water between pools. Moderate flow in some sections.

At the Bluff Springs/Dutchman crossing by the Peralta Trailhead, it was flowing nicely.
