| no partners | | | Beautiful day on the trail today. Trail to Summerland is completely snow free. Flowers are blooming. Saw a couple of marmots but no goats or bears today. From Summerland to Panhandle Gap there are some snow patches to cross close to the gap. The last one was a little tricky so I put on the microspikes for it but the couple that came up behind me did just fine with just boots and trekking poles. The others were all easily crossed. Mt. Adams was barely visible as clouds and smoke had it almost hidden. But the views from the gap were great nonetheless. Clouds looked like they were rolling in so I headed down but I saw a lot of people on the way up. |
