Two days before Christmas she and her 3 year old sister wanted to go hiking with me, and it turned out to be an incredible little hike. She is wanting to start carrying her own bag with her own water, snacks, etc, while my little one still prefers to ride on my back (when there are crowds).
Like always, we saw a lot of friendly hikers on the trail, and we enjoyed a nice and easy pace with my daughter leading the way. It was cold and breezy, but very pleasant either way. We spent several minutes checking out the petroglyphs while talking about the desert vegetation.
If you have little ones who you'd like to learn the wonders of hiking and learn to appreciate life outdoors versus via TV, video games, etc, this is an absolutely wonderful little trail to open their eyes on. |
