| no partners | | My friend and I stopped here in the late afternoon on our way from Tucson to Albuquerque. The refuge personnel in the nice, new visitor's center suggested we do this hike. The trail, which is a short 2 mile loop, isn't within the main part of the refuge and (I think) you can hike it without paying the $5 entrance fee.
The hike was fine and a welcome break from the driving, but if I go back, I would definitely pay to adventure around the main part of the refuge. |
