Dave guided us on another great Grand Canyon adventure. We had a good group going and alway's a pleasure hiking with all of them. Dave and Wally each drove. It was nice having two cars so we didn't have to hike the extra miles back to Tanner. The trail isn't groomed like the main trails but you can see the way most of the time. We had a great guide to show us the few tricky parts. You get views of the river before to long but it takes awhile to get there. it was a little slower going for me but everyone stayed together except Bob who was out bagging Peaks. He met up with us later and we all camped at the same spot. We camped by the river but not as far as we planned. The views were still awesome and all the stars at night were great. One nice thing about backpacking over dayhiking is sitting around shooting the bull with theese guys :D . Camping sooner turned out good for me. That way we got to check out 75 mile wash, Papago Wall, Papago Slide, and Hance Rapids while were still somewhat rested after a good nights sleep. From there it was a mile or so up the wash and then the climb out and the views never stopped. Bob and Dave were gonna go get the cars but when the saw we were all out and ready to go they crammed us all in the Jeep to save the half hour :o . This hike kicked my butt, but no cramps or puking :) . A big thanks to Dave for getting the permit and sitting this up : app : . Also a big thanks to Dave and Wally for driving : app : . It was a great trip and a treat to hike with all of these guys! :y:
