| no partners | | well I had to get back out to this area to see about a section of the trail around Ellison creek that had sparked some interest back in May. I started at the Washington Park t/h after deciding to make a little longer trip than first planned. According to the signage and my estimate of other distance travelled, I did a one way of 11.5 miles and then back- Saw a massive bull and two does, along with a fox and a coyote. (ALL withing the first 15 minutes)
Ellison creek is flowing nicely as well as 4 others along this section. Moore, Dude, Ellison, E.Verde, and one other are seemingly perrenial.
Got a slight wind gust with some small hail at around 12am but the new Contrail held up nicely.
Met 3 righteous dudes on the hike in and their apparent leader... then the next day saw them again. Nice to meet Jake, James?, Matt and sorry but didnt catch the leader's name. Cheers! |
