| no partners | | This was a short overnight backpack up the Obsidian Trail then south on the Pacific Crest Trail to the Linton Meadows Trail. It was getting late on the first day as I headed down the Linton Meadows Trail so I camped for the night on a level area along the trail about a mile from Linton Meadow. A threatening cloud cover and light rain blocked views of the mountains on the way up the Obsidian Trail but the clouds lifted by the time I got to the PCT making for some excellent views. My campsite had a great view of the Husband Mtn. It was a good time of year to visit this area after the first heavy frost - no mosquitoes!  |
