This was late afternoon off-trail and very short hike number 2 of 2 for the day.
(our 1 of 2 hike was the close-by "Pine Mtn from FR 68G TH - Verde Rim")

The most difficult part of bagging this Tule Mesa 6678 BM was the short but again bone jarring old 4WD, but still active, ranching cattle tank road to reach our ideal Park/TH Start location.

We were definitely risking, tempting, and messing-with "Mother Nature" on this one as some very serious Monsoon Storm thunderheads were quickly moving in our direction from the East, and that was the direction we needed to hike

Somehow we survived it without ending up wet or being struck by lightning :sweat:

in a quick 40 minute "out and back". Brian was able to complete his four need contacts to confirm his Summits on the Air Club (SOTA) first activation points for this remote BM, and I much enjoyed being up close and personal with some rewarding pic set memories of an Arizona Monsoon on our scenic & remote Verde Rim
