| no partners | | Out today in some crazy weather. One minute it's cloudy, dark and cool. The next there are patches of blue sky and it's relatively warm. In other words, it was awesome.
As I noted in my original write-up there are quite a few ways and routes to take up Pusch peak. I did a variation from my last trip and again came up with near 4.6 miles on my GPS, so you can figure on giving or taking up to 1/2 mile each way depending on how you go. Sandiway has found a shorter route I think. Either way you still gotta grind out the elevation in a pretty short climb. By the top I was stumbling like I'd had one too many. That was also because Phil and I went up about as fast as we could, the weather was really perfect to just climb like madmen. So we did
I had forgot how much this climb can kick your butt. What a great climb with spectacular views. Very short drive to the trailhead too. We saw nobody today. |
