| no partners | | It's been a while since I was out on the trails. Many big things have happened to me recently. Some wonderful, some not so much, and others just the way it goes.
Finally back out this morning with my dad on his first hike in Arizona. I figured Pima Canyon would be a nice introduction. It was brilliant this morning. We started out at 6am. It was clear and cool, and the birds were everywhere: cardinals, quail, and a ton of hummingbirds. There were huge amounts of century plants blooming in the canyon, so that was cool too. We made it up to the dam no problem, my dad moved very well.
After chilling at the dam until the sun crested over the canyon we headed back down. The lizards were out in full force on the way down.
It was great to be back out, even though I feel like junk and move like a tortoise. Who cares, I'm hiking again. |
