| partners | | Fan and I hiked the Log Corral trail. The morning was cool but not as cold as previous week. Sycamore creek is bone dry. We took a break at the saddle. As we neared the intersection with the power line road, about six 4x4s and one mountain bike passed us. I suspect the mountain biker caught a ride to saddle and coasted down. The Verde was wider and faster than last year. It looks like the lake is slowing filling back up.
Fan took an extended break at the fording point as I explored around the Verde.
It was a lot warmer in the afternoon than we expected. The half-moon provided enough light to hike to until we reached the Log Corral canyon / spring. |
