After hiking Bear Mountain the previous day, something less demanding seemed in order. Soldier Pass was just the ticket. Stopped off at the sinkhole just to marvel. Further up, the pools held a bit of water. Cut off to the east to visit the larger of the arches and chatted with some snowbirds a while. Clouds were gathering in the south and the weather man said the late afternoon would be best spent under a roof and by a fire, so we headed down and back to our accommodations for libations and such before the evening long drizzle commenced. It was a good hike and then a good evening.
