| partners | | Enjoying a few days hiking around Flagstaff. We used Little America as a base camp. Yesterday was a butt kicker hike in the Inner Basin. So today was sort of a rest day, so a drive out to Grand Falls, and some downtown shopping at Babbitt's. Needed to stretch the legs a little late in the day to finish driving out the stiffness. The Little America trail was right out the back door of our room and thus perfect.
One of the signs along the trail mentions it is all about pines, squirrels and lava rock. That's true and you get serenaded by the rumble of traffic on nearby I-40. But is easy to forget how close you are to the city with Albert's squirrels running across the trail, wind in the pines and even a glimpse at a nice little riparian area. Was a nice leg stretcher.
