| partners | | The crowds were invading the high country, so it was time to end our camping trip. We packed up camp and headed to Christopher Creek to have breakfast at the Creekside Steakhouse and Tavern. The food was great and the folks there are very very friendly. Highly recommended.
The See Canyon Trailhead was about half full, but the trail was still fairly lonesome. This is a short, but scenic hike up and then up a little more. We branched off to the See Spring Trail for to what else but see the See spring. The abundant variety of trees along the way was impressive. The spring itself really a scattered grouping of springs, larger and smaller. We explored around and even found a small one coming out of an ancient stump. Lots of New Mexican Raspberries around the spring.
The trip downhill was quick. Then it was off to Payson for lunch and then home to unpack and prepare to fly again tomorrow. But the See was a nice end to a great trip to Zane Grey Country. We will be back for more.
