| no partners | | | This was the first hike of the day that my wife and I took. It was nice and easy. Traversed the 1 mile of maintained trail fairly quickly and then doubled back. The fun started when we found the "secret" trail and started the 0.25 mile climb up the side of the canyon to the natural arch. There is some sort of ruin in the arch. I'm not sure if it is as ancient as some of the comments that I have read. Great views and a definite sense of solitude up there. The climb back down was somewhat tough on the knees but well worth it. |
