| no partners | | | Beautiful hike!! This is a little longer than advertised. The trail is 3.2 miles each direction, but that doesn't start until you are a little ways from the parking lot. Plus there is not a definitive end since the "end" is the maintained trail which ends in the creek. You cross the creek 13 times each direction. It was very shallow and the crossings are well marked with stones or logs. If you have sandals or water socks definitely take some time to wade. The entire trail is very peaceful. It is advertised as very busy but it wasn't too bad when we went. The timing probably had something to do with it since Sedona starts to warm up after Memorial Day. Highly recommended and I will definitely return, especially once my kids can make the entire trek. |
