This was an awesome "Beat the Heat" weekend peakbagging San Jacinto.

Took the awesome tram ($24/person)on Saturday morning up into the cool pines of Mt. San Jacinto.
We backpacked 2.5 miles (800' elevation gain) to Tamarack Campground and set up camp at a chilly 9,200'.
Next we day hiked 3.5 miles and 3000 AEG up to the summit of San Jacinto at 10,834' (7 miles RT).
The views from the top are spectacular!

The camping permit is $5.
Tram ticket (RT) is $23.
