We made the turn off 288 on to NF 410 expecting a really rough 4wd road and it was actually in great shape almost car quality if you took it slow. We made it to the TH at 0800 and started walking. We noted lots of poison Ivy or Oak in the first 1/4 mile on the trail so be careful as well as lots of bear scat.
The hike to the summit of Center mountain is really nice trail was in good shape. On the summit the view of Cherry Creek is something. We both made about 20 contacts on HF and then headed back down as we both had appointments that evening. The trip down was about 90 min.
Great hike good activation and good company.
Thanks Charlie |
