| no partners | | I had previously done Grays and Torreys but Doc needed these two. Now he haz finished off the front range . This was our last day of 5 awesome days of Colorado hiking.
Nick set up all the hikes and figured out what days to do them and everything worked out great. We changed our original plan based on weather patterns and the weather was pretty much perfect. Last year we had a couple of whiteouts during the same week. This year the worst thing was a little sprinkle for a half hour.
This area is awesome and I plan to go back again sometime. The ridge up to Kelso had some easy class three with minimal exposure. There were several mines/prospects on route... a couple that were above 13k. Those miners were baddass.
After hiking, we visited a couple breweries and tasted some tasty brews. Prospector Ale seemed like a fitting choice. |
