Did some research and found that an area near Queen Valley and Boyce Thompson Arboretum could be our first area to search for Geodes. Take along a little ping hammer and start hammering away and loading up our spoils. That would be , but I guess that's what all the thousands of other people were thinking many years ago. There were a lot of Blanks and no Thunder eggs as they are called, in the area we were in. Did find a few little specimens, but nothing to brag about, but we decided we'll return and keep searching. Great area full of volcanic activity and an abandoned Perlite mine to check out. Lonely area, had the place to ourselves except for a few off road vehicles. |
