| no partners | | 1st triplog hope it goes thru this time. My hiking partner's sons were in town from the cold country for a few days, Brad wanted to bike to Canyon Lake and Brett wanted to hike, so we thought that Canyon Lake Massif would be perfect. They both reached
their goal but the biker got rained on pretty good and we came back dry and warm. We had been up there this past December and as we reached the end we seen a American Flag waving in the breeze, which was not there before. This really got Brett's attention
because he is deeply involved with a Wounded Warrior project at warriorsnevergiveup.org Upon reaching the Flag we noticed that this was a Memorial to Helen, very nicely done with a lot of care and love, what a beautiful spot and what a view. Said a small prayer and headed back. Good time to thank everyone who has posted logs and routes for us to down load and use as a guide, they have been an invaluable tool for us and as we continue on you'll be seeing more posts from us. |
