We drove up to Flagstaff to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I remembered this park from when I lived up here in 1982. It's a good choice for acclimating to the altitude, and does offer good views of the San Francisco Peaks and Mount Elden. Hearing the train whistle and a chainsaw in the distance reminded me of the old days.
