I figured it'd be easy on my hip flexor, and I wanted to get out in the nice day! Tug and I immediately took the wrong trail out of the car, and ended up climbing up way past the waterfall area. I decided to just keep going cuz it felt SOOOOOOOOO good to be out on trail again, and just see where it took us, and continue the mission when we came back. I kept hoping it would form a little loop, and we'd head back down toward the waterfall area, but it turned out to be a climber trail over to a wall on the east side of the basin. It was a great little climb, and some cool views of the Rincons and the Molino Basin. The trail petered out after the wall area, so we headed back down and into the waterfall area to get some pics of all the idiots' work. Tug and I ran into a super nice man Jack, with his 3 legged amazing dog Angel, and ended up talking to him for over 1/2 hour. Seriously don't even know how these people tagged some of the areas they did, but it had to be before the water level was as high as it is. Gonna be hard to remove, but we'll be on it.
We had a good time exploring around the area. I've never stopped in that basin before, so it was cool to see all the water flowing from the snow melt off! |
