| no partners | | | The pups and I met some friends at the Tangle Creek Campground on Friday Night. The next morning the pups and I spent and hour and a half walking up and down Tangle Creek. We got back to camp, ate some breakfast then headed to Sheep's Bridge. We had another group of friends arriving at Sheep's Bridge around 3pm on Saturday, so I had a couple hours to kill. I took the pups to the hot spring, across the bridge, then we hiked down forest road 479. 1.8 miles into the hike I started down a forest road going toward the Verde River. A short distance on this road I noticed some ruins to the North. The pups and I found 2 different ruin sites and a lot of pottery shards. After comparing GPS routes, I was in the same area as Hansenaz [ photoset ] . We spend around 30 minutes in the area. We then hiked down to the river and ate lunch and then followed the river back to the bridge. I was just in time to see the caravan of trucks arriving at the river. |
