With the cooler temp forecast we headed out to the Goldfield Mountains to check out some new area north of Top Hat and as always, the Goldfields did not disappoint. Really enjoyed this hike, perfect weather, and lots of solitude. Parked off SR88 in the large parking area near milepost 203 and headed in via Rough-N-Ready Canyon, then made our way west via horse trails for the majority of the hike, and then closed it out via a wash (with trail) that took us to the Tomahawk Mine area were we then made our way back to the parking lot.

Brought 2 liters of water and drank 1.
