Been wanting to check out the Gold Ridge Trail so thought today would be a nice day to climb up to cooler temps. The steepest climb started at mile 1 and ended roughly at mile 4. Crossed paths with a hunter who was out testing his new pack. Once we hit the top of the trail we hiked out the FR3348 to FR201 and then made our way over to Pigeon Spring where we found some shade and had lunch and did a little exploring. Going down we had a nice breeze which kept the temps at bay as we descended to the lower elevation. Ryan crossed paths with a AZ Black Rattlesnake but when I arrived he had already made his escape so no picture. Next up will be the South Fork Trail.
