My buddy Tom sent me a text this morning wanting to go do a hike. I gave it some thought and recommended Blacketts Ridge. As we were hiking up we noticed a few helicopters flying in and around the area. Then some more. The skies were dark and you could see rain in the distance. Once on top we could hear people down below yelling out "Mauricio". Some other hikers informed us that a hiker named Mauricio had gone missing on Friday near Sabino Canyon.

We looked down and one of the guys saw something blue down in one of the ravines. None of us could make it out since it was so far away. I ended up zooming in on it with my camera and it appears to be a blue box of some sort. Possibly a cooler. Either way it was obvious it wasn't Mauricio. Hopefully he turns up and is still alive and well.
