| no partners | | Mystery is not a beginner's canyon, yet enjoyable for those with a little experience. Water levels in some of the pools were a little higher than typical for the time of year, leading to extra wading through chilly water and some log soup. The rappel into Mystery Spring pool was by far the highlight of this canyon. Water on the swims was cold, but with warm air temperatures, the overall experience was just about perfect. Hard permit to score - a great start to fall
On the last rappel into the narrows, avoid sticking your rope by making sure the last person gets the rope LDC from the obvious crack. |
