| partners | | A fun, short, introductory canyon in Death Valley with several rappels including ones from cairn anchors. Before going to Death Valley we spent a couple days practicing canyoneering skills including building cairn anchors. We were a bit disappointed that the cairn anchors we found in the canyon were bomb proof! It surprised me how easy going the canyon was. The bits between rappels was the easiest canyon walking I've ever done.
Afterwards, We followed Scorpion Canyon up with a fantastic potluck Thanksgiving dinner!
A caving friend I took along wrote a blog about our trip down Scorpion: behindtheblack.com/ ... ley/ |
