| no partners | | Been so darn busy with Real Estate lately that I haven't had enough time to hike much. Today I mixed a little business with pleasure. Got a client that wants some land to build a home that's near the mountains and a little off the grid but not too far away. I think I found him the perfect spot. A 30 acre lot near the Palo Verde Mountains. It backs to one of the Foothills and the property line actually goes up and past he top of the mountain.
I told him I would go scout it out by foot for him. Behind the Palo Verde Foothills is what is called Papago Butte. I first went up his mountain and then across the Papago Butte and then circled back on the desert floor. I was looking for where the nearest power lines were so he could get electricity to that property. Solar is always an option as well.
Along the way I saw a fair amount of immigrant debris but nothing fresh. There was also a cross and a memorial up on Papago Butte. It would appear one of them died along the way. There was a wooden box with a pesos in it and 3 statues. The sight pulled on my heart strings a bit as I stood and thought of what must have happened.
Back on to the property I went and then back to my car. I have a feeling he is going to pull the trigger on this one in the very near future. Can't say I blame him. It's a pretty cool spot. |
